This alcohol retailer sells promotions, such as beer towers, storefront displays and preferencial shelf location, to leading alcohol brands. These alcohol brands send out auditors to ensure each store is reflecting the promotion they have paid for, with any non-conformances allowing them to tear up any agreements. In one calendar year, this retailer lost over $700k in promotional revenue.
We helped to implement a daily promotional compliance store checklist that provided store managers with reference images of the promotions each day and required them to take a photo of their store before they opened. A Power BI dashboard was then monitored each day by head office to ensure each store had completed their promotional check.
By implementing this daily store compliance checklist system, this retailer reduced promotional compliance issues by a $500k; a 72% reduction in promotional non-conformances and a 10x return on investment on the overall cost of the project.
