This FM firm was completely reliant on pen and paper to perform their client site inspections. It was inefficient, the data took 24 hours to reach relationship managers in head office, and corrective actions were rarely followed up. All of this lead to a drop in cleaning scores and an increase in complaints by the client.
We helped to implement a mobile inspection and corrective action system to provide instant visibility to relationship managers when a cleaning inspection was completed, including photos and videos of issues. We also developed a live Power BI dashboard that displayed cleaning scores and corrective actions on TVs in the office to keep these scores front of mind.
The result was a 9% uplift in cleaning scores, attributed to the increased visibility and accountability that the system provided. Moreover, as the cleaning inspections and corrective actions were shared in real time with the client, there was a 35% reduction in formal complaints and an improvement with the relationship, as the team could show they were proactively identifying issues and resolving them.
