Adding a new user
When an employee hits their start date in Employment Hero, a new SafetyCulture user is created using their company email. If the company email is blank, we use the personal email and prompt them to update it.
Updating groups
Employment Hero "Teams" are mirrored to SafetyCulture "Groups". Add, remove or rename a team in Employment Hero, the change propagates to SafetyCulture on the next sync. Users follow their team membership automatically.
Removing a user
When a user passes their termination date in Employment Hero, their SafetyCulture account is deactivated — their work stays in the audit trail but they can no longer sign in or be assigned new work.
Seat type
You elect Full, Lite or Guest seats for new users. Once they are in the account, you can adjust seat type per user without breaking the sync.

Pricing covers the managed integration — hosting, monitoring, support and ongoing maintenance. SafetyCulture and Employment Hero subscriptions are separate.

How often does SafetyCulture refresh with updated users and groups from Employment Hero?
Once per day at 12:00am AEST. We sync on a daily cadence to give you time to correct any errors in Employment Hero before they flow into SafetyCulture.
Can I choose the SafetyCulture seat type for new users?
Yes — you can elect Full, Lite or Guest. You can also change seat type per user after they have been provisioned without breaking the sync.
Can I bring locations over from Employment Hero as SafetyCulture sites?
Yes — but the mapping depends on how your Employment Hero account is structured, so we discuss this on a setup call.
Can I create SafetyCulture groups that are not related to Employment Hero?
Yes. Any group you create directly in SafetyCulture is left alone by the integration. We only manage the groups that mirror Employment Hero teams.
If I update SafetyCulture, does that flow back into Employment Hero?
No — the integration is one-way. The Employment Hero API does not accept writes for the fields we sync, so we recommend treating Employment Hero as your source of truth.
