Adding and removing users
When a user hits their start date in Tanda, a new SafetyCulture user is created. When the user is deactivated in Tanda, the SafetyCulture account is deactivated on the next sync.
Updating groups
Tanda "Teams" are mirrored to SafetyCulture "Groups". When a user is added to or removed from a team in Tanda, group membership updates. Teams that exist across multiple locations must be named identically to roll up into one SafetyCulture group.
Updating sites
Tanda locations are mirrored to SafetyCulture sites. When a user is added to or removed from a location — or a team nested under a location — their site assignment in SafetyCulture follows.
Seat type
You elect Full, Lite or Guest seats for new users. Once provisioned, seat type is adjustable per user without breaking the sync.

How often does the sync run?
Once per day at 12:00am AEST. We sync on a daily cadence to give you a buffer to correct any errors in Tanda before they propagate.
Can I choose the SafetyCulture seat type for new users?
Yes — you can elect Full, Lite or Guest. You can also change seat type per user after provisioning without breaking the sync.
Can I auto-assign training when a user lands in SafetyCulture?
Yes. SafetyCulture training is assigned at the group level, so any course attached to a group is auto-assigned to new members when their Tanda team rolls them in.
Can I keep SafetyCulture groups that are not tied to Tanda?
Yes. Only groups that mirror Tanda teams are managed by the integration. Anything created manually in SafetyCulture is left alone.
If I update SafetyCulture, does that flow back into Tanda?
No — the integration is one-way. We recommend treating Tanda as your source of truth for staff, location and team data.
