Manage Users, Groups and Sites
Connect SafetyCulture to your Tanda account to set up an ‘active directory’ for your employees in SafetyCulture. This integration will create a new user in SafetyCulture as each new employee is onboarded in Tanda, mirror the Tanda Teams in SafetyCulture Groups to ensure users are always in the right group throughout their employment, mirror Tanda Locations in SafetyCulture sites to ensure your staff are organised into their correct locations throughout their employment, and remove users from SafetyCulture as they are de-activated in Tanda. This integration allows you to automatically assign Training Courses to users as they are inducted into the business or are promoted into a new team, as SafetyCulture training courses are automatically assigned to groups.
How it Works
Adding / Removing a User
- When a user hits their start date in Tanda / Workforce > New User created in SafetyCulture
- When a user is deactivated in Tanda / Workforce > user is deactivated in SafetyCulture at the next sync
Updating Groups
- Tanda / Workforce “Teams” are mirrored with SafetyCulture “Groups”
- When a user is added or removed from a Team in Tanda / Workforce, the user is added or removed from the corresponding group in SafetyCulture
- Teams in Tanda / Workforce that exist across multiple locations must be spelt identically to form 1 group in SafetyCulture.
Updating Sites
- Tanda / Workforce locations are mirrored into SafetyCulture sites
- When a user is added or removed from a location or a team nested below a location in Tanda / Workforce, the user is added or removed from the corresponding site in SafetyCulture
SafetyCulture Seat Type
- You have the option to elect for users to be Full, Lite or Guest users in SafetyCulture
Requirements
- You must have a SafetyCulture Premium or Enterprise Account
- You must have a paid Tanda or Workforce account
- The user generating the Application and API Tokens must be an Admin in both Tanda and SafetyCulture

Once per day at 12:00am AEST. We do this to allow you to amend any errors you make in Tanda before the data is pushed across.
Yes - you can elect to start users as a full, lite or guest user. Once they are in the account you can update their seat type
The users will get the default permissions for the type of seat you elect. You can customise these permissions in SafetyCulture
Yes - we assign training to a group, so once a new user is added into that group they will be assigned the training for the group they are in
Yes - any groups you create in the SafetyCulture account won’t be impacted by this integration
No - the integration is “one-way” from Tanda into SafetyCulture. We recommend using Tanda as your “source of truth”
