Digitising Training for Remote Agriculture Teams

Introducing a new mobile LMS for all training, inductions and verifications at a commercial farm

An agriculture business operating in remote areas with limited internet and high-risk machinery faced challenges in onboarding and training. They relied on pen and paper and an outdated desktop Learning Management System (LMS), leading to inefficiencies and new hires starting without clearance to operate dangerous equipment.


By implementing SafetyCulture Training and its Practical Assessments function, Bravas digitized its Verification of Competency (VOC) process and introduced a mobile portal for new hires to complete inductions remotely. The new system also provided full offline functionality, ensuring it could be used even in areas with no internet access.



Now, new starters complete their inductions via mobile before arriving on-site, allowing managers to easily identify any gaps or non-conformities. Digital VOCs are also conducted for first-time visitors, with completion certificates stored for easy access, ensuring a safer and more efficient operation.
